Family Relationships Advice Line

The Family Relationship Advice Line provides information and advice on family relationship issues and parenting arrangements after separation.

It can also refer callers to local services that can provide assistance.

Call 1800 050 321 between 8 am and 8 pm, Monday to Friday, or 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday (local time), except national public holidays.

Kids Help Line

Kids Helpline is a free, private and confidential, telephone and online counselling service specifically for young people aged between 5 and 25.

Lifeline provides crisis support services.

Call 131 114 support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.


Mensline provides telephone and online support, information and a referral service.

They provide counselling support for men to help deal with relationship problems in a practical and effective way.

They also provide specialist support to those who use or experience family and domestic violence. Call 1300 789 978.

SARC: Sexual Assault Resource Centre

SARC provides emergency response, counselling and support for women and men, 13 years and over, who have been affected by sexual assault or sexual abuse.

White Balloon Day

White Balloon Day is Bravehearts signature fundraising event held annually to raise awareness about child sexual assault and help to empower survivors to break their silence.

Launched in 1997, the Australia-wide campaign is a key fixture during National Child Protection Week with funds raised going toward education, prevention and case management programs for the one in five Australian children sexually assaulted in some way before their 18th birthday.

White Ribbon provide a list of national and state based support organisations which may be of assistance where domestic and family violence is a concern.
