Waratah family and domestic violence counselling, education and community services.

Our staff are here to offer no-judgement support whenever you need.

Waratah is a not for profit organisation that provides family and domestic violence and sexual assault services throughout the South-West of Western Australia.

  • Waratah Support Centre provides free, specialised counselling, support and therapeutic intervention services for people who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse and/or family and domestic violence.

We have services operating in Bunbury, Busselton with outreach services operating in Collie, Margaret River and Manjimup.

  • Waratah provides group sessions for adults and children. These include trauma-informed yoga, peer support groups, women’s empowerment sessions, and groups focused on emotional regulation and recovery.

  • Waratah engages with schools, organisations and the community to raise awareness about family and domestic violence and sexual assault/abuse. We provide a range of topics, with consent and healthy relationships being at the core of our work. Our aim is to build community capacity and understanding which can lead to a future free of violence. Please contact us to discuss our presentations and workshops available.

  • In partnership with the WA Police and Department of Communities, Waratah staff provide early intervention and support following police involvement with a family/couple experiencing family and domestic violence.

  • Waratah support workers provide services to people attending Bunbury and Busselton courts. These workers are available to provide safe supports for people seeking applications in relation to family and domestic violence. Workers can also provide connection/referral for people who have been party to a VRO or family court injunction for family and domestic violence.
